North Bay Blooms 2009  (there's no place like home, page)

Getting ready for another great year.

North Bay Blooms is in full swing!  As of July 17, 2009, we have already launched the North Bay Blue Bottle Poster, a poster campaign to promote the use of reusable water bottles and local tap water rather than single use throw away plastic bottles; planted trees in four different locations around the city thanks to a donation from the TD Friends of the Environment; organized several Wednesday night Community Clean Ups; launched the Awesome Sunflower Contest; with the help of Canada Post, the North Bay Horticultural Society and the Master Gardeners, Front Yard Garden Contest is winding up with winners to be announced within the next two weeks.  The Business Garden Contest in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce began July 3rd with the Empire Living Centre, Kabuki House and Inn on the Bay being chosen as the first three winners.  As always, we welcome your photos of eyecatching gardens and flowers.  For more details on any of the above, please see the menu on the left.

North Bay Blooms consists of a small group of volunteers that care about the environment and organize several events each year to encourage everyone to become involved in cleaning, planting, growing and caring for the world around us.  If you are interested in becoming involved in any way - just let us know.
