The Great Giant Pumpkin Contest

So How is Your Pumpkin Doing?

Picture
Mikaela was one of the students at St Francis School this Spring who received the Giant Max pumpkin seeds and has enjoyed watching them grow this summer.   This week we will be following up with the local schools to see how others made out and if there were enough pumpkins that enjoyed the rain and sunshine this summer we may have a judging contest at Northgate Square.
Please keep an eye on this site for details.

This Spring North Bay Blooms has given away over  1,000  "Big Max" giant pumpkins seeds to junior schools in North bay and through our sponsoring garden centers.  The "Big Max" giant pumpkins can grow up to 18 inches across and over 100 pounds in size.
As pictured above, Gabrielle, with the help of Grand-pere Louis, planted the seeds they received at Laporte's, simply planted straight into a bag of manure, and as of July 20 the pumpkin patch is growing well.
If you have any pumpkin pictures or stories to share please let us know.
